Throughout the year, Kids’ Book Bank staff will host events around the theme of Books Change the Narrative. These online and in-person events are open to anyone interested in learning about the Kids’ Book Bank, literacy in Cleveland, and how partners are working together to impact literacy in our area.
Changing the Narrative – Lunch & Learn via Zoom

Executive Director Natalie Friedl hosts this online event open to the public. Each month, a new guest(s) joins Natalie to talk about an aspect of book distribution, literacy in Cleveland, or other related topics.
Future events will feature conversations literacy partners, local authors, and more.

On June 25, local author and literacy advocate, Margaret Bernstein, will join us for Books & Brunch! She’ll share her unique perspective of literacy in Cleveland and will be selling her dad-focused books with a portion of proceeds supporting the Kids’ Book Bank.
Books & Brunch is an in-person event in the Mandel Literacy Hub that includes a tour of the new home of the Kids’ Book Bank and a brief presentation over light refreshments.
If you haven’t been to our new home, this is a great opportunity to visit. If you have, it’s a great opportunity to see what’s new and hear about plans for our 10th birthday year!
